Summer time and the living is easy

So summer vacation is in full swing now... and it's glorious.

I started working at Rite Aid last week in Cicero and it's not too horrible. I actually like it a lot and I'm getting a lot of hours in so that'll be nice come the end of the summer.

Besides work, I've had a few other adventures. Saturday I spent the day with my Mom. We went to a very awesome scrapbook/beading convention at the OnCenter. I got some pretty sweet beads to make some new necklaces. Sunday I worked and then went to Kim's Family Reunion. It was fun. We played on Bri's trampoline with all the little kids. Naturally, Joey made a small child cry. Victor came and played later in the evening. All and all, it was good times for everyone.

I worked Memorial Day, also... A nine-to-fiver... The last hour and a half was horribly boring, but I made it through. Eb and I reviewed some sigs and some generics vs. brand names. Pretty lame, but worth it.

Still Bored.

Well, that previous post was just far too short. So to pass some more time, I'm going to post some neato pictures that I've taken in the past few weeks. A photo "montage" if you will (without moving frames or music, so really not a montage at all. damn it.).

We had a BBQ thus there was frolfing. For those of you who don't know, frolfing is frisbee golf and also a ton of fun. What's a college cookout without some pong? Lame... that's what it is. So naturally, we continued to embrace the weather in the great outdoors... This will be the end of Holland Ave Houses. Sad!

We got sweet jersey's! Left to Right: Nick Smith, Victor, Me, Pat. We are some of the newest members of SUNY SCAM. Yay!

We took some super sweet pictures around SUNY campus on another gorgeous day.

There's other pictures yet to post, the the campus center's AC is on far too high for my likings...

Time for pick up!

The End Is Here!

Yayy!!! Finals are finally done!!!

Now I'm sitting alone in the SUNY campus center eagerly awaiting one last game of pick up. Then I think Amelia, Squirrel and myself are going to get some ice cream and then I'm peacin' out of this joint faster than you can say "would you like sprinkles on your baby ice cream cone?"

Unfortunately, like herpes, I'll be back in Albania in the fall...

But until then 315 here I come!!!!!

photoshop.

As a result of that damn cat, it is now 1:05 am and this is what I have to show you:

I found this while "stumbling." I love coming across random photoshop tutorials.
This particular one is supposed to resemble a comic strip of some sort.
This post really doesn't do it that much justice, but for a first time attempt at midnight, it didn't turn out half bad.
Many more attempts in the near future I feel.
(As soon as the more important research paper is complete that is)
I'm going to turn on scrubs now and try to tune out the world.

Goodnight once again.

Upcoming days.

I had intended on sleeping by now, but the damn cat woke me up. I hate Bre. She's a bitch. As I attempted to get the little whorebag out of my room, she proceeded to hiss and claw in my general direction and hide under my bed. I started yelling about how I was going to eat her for breakfast tomorrow since I have no bagels and followed the verbal threat by throwing my rainboots at her. I was very unhappy. At this point, I can no longer attempt to sleep, so I'm writing this nonsense and listening to Jewel (classy, I know).

This past weekend held up to all of my expectations. Friday was ACP Springfest; I successfully managed to get a free t-shirt and jump on the jumpy thing. See the picture for a cool view of the jumpy thing, compliments of Daniela. Friday night I went to UHCS to party with my future roommates and company. It was a lot of fun. Two of my ultimate boys came, Victor and Pat; they're lovely.

Saturday morning, after the hangover wore off, I went over to Anne's. Since Kimber was in town, we made plans to go to the movies and dinner... A girl's night out. It was delightful. We saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It was okay, I think I would have enjoyed it more had I not been so hungry I could have eaten my foot. We went to Houlihan's in Crossgates for dinner. The waiters there are absolutely to die for. They're all so adorable. We took bets on how old Doug (our waiter) was and he was only 18. After dinner, we walked around the mall for a little bit and then went home to get ready to go out again. This time, we went to a SUNY party at Adam's house. Adam is another ultimate boy. The party was pretty intense. Much more so than anything we ever have at my house, but still very fun.

Sunday we (Daniela, Anne, Adam and myself) all went to an afternoon breakfast. Adam was fortunate enough to hear the morning after conversations between me and the girls; poor kid. Post "breakfast" we went over to UHCS again for a cookout that Alison was having. I only had a soda and some chip dip as I wasn't very hungry after my delightful breakfast. I hung out with Courtney (whom I never see anymore so this was good) and Daniela. Eventually, we departed and I ended up at Anne's room. Here I popped in Spiderman 3, while Anne cleaned, and proceeded to sleep for the duration of the film. I was that exhausted, and it's my natural reaction to any movie. We had dinner and then I went back to my room for more sleep.

Thursday I am having a 21st birthday bash for Scott. I'm pretty excited because I think some of my ultimate boys might come. Friday I am going to Queensbury to go camping with SCAM (suny ultimate). I am super stoked about camping, it should be a wonderful time. Victor and I already have big plans to dominate two cameras in random photos; it shall be grand. Monday I have a final and a paper due. Tuesday is the last day of classes; final on Wednesday and then I might make the journey home on Thursday to take some stuff home and get a dress for a wedding I'll be going to on Saturday. Saturday also happens to be Tulipfest which I'll actually be going to this year. Sunday there is a SCAM vs. SCUM game that I will be going to also. SCAM is the current suny team and SCUM is the alumni team. I'm pretty stoked about that as well.

After that weekend, I have three more days of school. Nothing Monday or Tuesday then a final on Wednesday, then homeward bound I go. When I return home, I'll have a pharm tech position waiting for me and I really can't wait to work there. Good news rains down all around me today and in my coming weeks. This makes me happy.

The wedding on Saturday is my big Sandy's. By big, I mean that when I pledged a frat back in the day, she was my assigned big brother. We both quit the frat on the same night. She loves me and I love her. I can't wait to see her all dolled up for the wedding, I know that she'll look amazing.

After writing all of that, I realized that I have busy times ahead. I'll try to stay on top of posting amid the living of my wonderful life.

Until next time folks, good night.

Back by popular demand.

So apparently, I'm horrible at keeping up with this thing... Too many wonderful things have been happening. Overall, I've been living instead of writing.

And now, a quick recap of the past couple of weeks...

2 Weeks ago I had 2 tests at SUNY... Both of which were complete jokes. Yes it's SUNY, but the tests are even more ridiculous than those at ACP. Lame. That weekend (April 11), the girls, John and I went to a private party downtown. It was so awesome, I hadn't see Stephen in forever, so it was great to finally get to go out with him again. After the open bar, which I utilized to it's fullest, we went to the Bo Room for the Phi Del Jack Light party. We stayed there until they kicked us out. The Alpha chapter was in town and they're quite the group, I'll stick with my Alpha Theta boys though. Saturday, after sleeping off the hangover, John, Anne and myself went to Crossgates to get John's phone fixed. We then ventured to Andy's for the Phi Del wingding... Because we showed up at like 3 ish, everyone was already beyond drunk. I had 3 wings and they were yummy (if you don't know, I don't usually eat wings, so this I was proud of). I played taxi for some drunkies and then ended up at a friend's apartment for some pong and guitar hero. It was an over successful day. Sunday was spent at SUNY lib studying with the girlies. Monday, Anne, Amar, Nate and I went to Poughkeepsie to see Jack's Mannequin. Andrew did not disappoint, as usual. That man makes love to the piano like no other. Amazing.

I'm not sure if I wrote this last time I posted or not, but I have joined the Ultimate Frisbee team at SUNY and I am in love. There's pick up Tuesday and Thursday while the other days are dedicated to practice followed by tournaments on the weekends. I missed sectionals, but it's okay because I'm not UPA (Ultimate Players Association) registered yet. I've made a bunch of friends and it's super awesome. It reminds me how much I love the sport.

This past Friday we had one last "practice" in Collins and then a BBQ at Jeanmarie's. It was a lot of fun. Post BBQ, I brought some kids back to my place to play some pong. Me and baby McMuffin hit 2 balls one cup (way better than 2 chicks 1 cup...) and won against Rob and Scott. It was amazing. I have mad skills, yo.
Saturday I went out to Oneonta with the team for my first ever tournament. Since I've never been, I was very scared to play. When I finally got up the nerve to step on to the field, the boys were so proud of me; it was awesome. The day was long and hot. But luckily there was a little river behind the park to play in, and play in it we did. After all of our games, the whole team went to the river, striped down and jumped in. It was a lot of fun. Post river, we went into Oneonta and got pizza at Momma Nina's and then returned to Albany.

Sunday was spent at the ACP Frisbee touney and more sunburn occurred. It was a good time though. After that, I slept for a very long time.

This week has flown by and big things are in store for this weekend. Friday is ACP Springfest, Saturday is 545, and Sunday is SUNY Fountain Day. I'll try to keep up on the events of this weekend, as I'm sure they won't disappoint.

On a completely side note... I got the tech position for the summer at Rite (Wrong) Aid! Yayy!

Until next time kids... Peace.

It's Monday.

So instead of doing work right now, I'm going to take the time to update you on the happenings of my life.

I had a run in with the gym last Monday. It was nice. Did some running and what have you. Well after the gym, I changed my shoes and went out to my car. I put my sneakers on the roof, my backpack in the backseat and myself in the front... then I proceeded to drive off to the house. Well, just as I hit the light on Western and turn, I see my shoes fly into the car behind me. "FUCK" I exclaim very loudly in a fit of laughter. I proceeded to turn around in the gas station and play a little game of "avoid the rush hour traffic to get your sneakers back," because I really didn't want to buy a new pair of sneakers (wtf? did I just say I didn't want a new pair of shoes...?) I retrieve the shoes and continue on my merry little way.

As I get back to the house, I'm rushed to meet the girls for something (I don't remember what) and couldn't find my iPod. So I take off and return later that night only to rip apart my baby closet trying to find my baby shuffle. It is no where. I'm on the verge of tears because my shoes survived and my gumstick did not. Well, just to prevent you from getting too upset for me, I'll tell you that I found it Saturday in the only purse I didn't look in. I was happier than a small child in a sugary heaven.

The rest of the week went mildly well. Played mass amounts of ultimate (calling it frisbee is an "insult," I've made this mistake already). Had a little get together Thursday night at the house. Again, nothing but good times.

Friday I got my baby blue back and she's better than ever. No more bear bite, and I couldn't be happier to have her back. Anne and I drove to Syracuse to get her. We met Dad at home, got my car and took the rental back. Then Dad took us out to dinner at Buffalo Bill's (lol) and then Anne and I went to see Kim at the salon school and she did our nails for us. Then we peaced out back to Albania.

Saturday we spent all day working on our dresses for halfway. They came out lovely. Halfway was soooo much fun, I'm so glad I went. Here's me and the girls with our pretty, pretty dresses.

Sunday D and I went shopping after the hangover wore off and then out to dinner. Twice. lol. We went to Houlihans and then Anne wanted tacos... so we went to El Locos (Dolla Dolla Bills, Ya'll... hahaha so goofy if you girls are reading this)

Sunday night I made plans with the brosif and the Madre for some summer fun. A road trip to Virginia with D for my birthday madness and the fourth of July fireworks (at the national mall! sick!). A wine tour with Madre. This summer may possibly be my and Daniela's last...

Now I'm sitting in the SUNY cafe listening to my gumstick and admiring the wonderful weather that I'm about to go romp around in.

On a complete side note: there is a door, that is either broken or locked, to get into the courtyard and it makes me laugh every time I see someone try to open it.
